According to Southern California Edison, as of Tuesday, Jan. 22, “After last week’s productive rainstorm we are excited to report the water elevation at Middle Ranch Reservoir is 659.73 feet above sea level. This equates to a storage capacity of 821.34 acre-feet.”
The reservoir’s maximum capacity is 1054 acre-ft. An acre foot of water is enough water to cover one foot of flatland 1-foot deep in water, as shown in the above illustration comparing an acre foot of water with a football field.
