On Monday April 8, four members of the Avalon High School Varsity Boys Golf Team played in the Herold Invitational Golf Tournament at Candlewood Country Club in Whittier. Seventeen schools played and Avalon came out in first place. Senior Juan Chavoya finishes 2nd overall with a 73 and Senior Danny Pedroza tied for 3rd overall with a 74. Senior Ulises Zavala had a 78 and Senior Carmen Garcia had an 81. They beat out Cerritos High School by three strokes and La Serna High School by four. These kids set a goal to come back and win this tournament their senior year and they did.
