The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of Sept. 24 to Sept. 30.

September 24
• No significant incidents.

September 24
• No significant incidents.
September 25
• At 5:45 p.m., an apparent drowning victim was located by the Harbor Department in Avalon Bay. Attempts to resuscitate the victim were unsuccessful. The victim was identified as Robert Butte, M/65, a resident of Los Angeles, but a longtime friend and beloved member of the Avalon community.
September 26
• At 5:30 p.m., Joseph Talsky, M/31, an Avalon resident, was booked for manufacturing a controlled substance (concentrated cannabis).
September 27
• At 8:30 p.m., Colleen Cosenza, F/42, a resident of Oceanside, was arrested for drunk in public and Joseph Cosenza, M/48, also a resident of Oceanside, was arrested for battery.
September 28
• At 2:45 p.m., Michael Johnson, M/32, a resident of Van Nuys, was arrested for drunk driving.
• License plate tabs were reportedly stolen from a vehicle in Sol Vista.
September 29
• At 10:36 p.m., Jared Royer, M/40, a resident of Utah, was reported missing near Emerald Bay.
He was diving for lobsters off a chartered dive boat out of San Pedro. As of Oct. 1, 2014, recovery efforts have been unsuccessful.
• Annoying phone calls were reported by a resident in the Fairview community.
• An attempted burglary was reported in the 300 block of Tremont Street.
September 30
• At 4:53 p.m., a non-criminal domestic violence incident was reported in the 300 block of Tremont Street.
Public Safety Notice
To further enhance public safety, deputies are more strictly enforcing traffic laws pertaining to under-age driving and driving while texting or talking on a cell phone.
Golf carts
No golf carts were reported stolen this week.
