The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of March 18 to March 25.

March 18

March 18
• At 12:10 p.m., a 16-year-old Avalon student was detained and cited for allegedly making threats toward a school employee.
March 19
• An Avalon resident reported being the victim of an illegal use of a debit card.
• An Avalon resident reported her unattended purse was stolen from her golf cart that was parked in the 300 block of Tremont Avenue.
March 20
• An Avalon resident reported being the victim of an illegal use of a debit card.
March 21
• No significant incidents.
March 22
• At 1:10 a.m., Michael LaBounty, 23, a resident of Long Beach, was arrested for being drunk in public.
• At 9:40 p.m., Andrew Sanford, 27, a resident of Costa Mesa, was arrested for being drunk in public.
March 23
• No significant incidents.
March 24
• A resident from Hamilton Cove reported their front door was damaged by someone who tried to forcibly enter their home.
March 25
• An Avalon resident reported being the victim of an illegal use of a debit card.
