Crime Prevention Tip: Vacation Checks
One of the under-utilized services offered by the Sheriff’s Department are vacation checks of your home.
If you are planning on going over town and would like us to check on your home, please stop by the station and fill out a “Special Patrol Request” form.
While you are away, our deputies will check on your home to help ensure you don’t have any unwanted guests staying in your home.
These checks may help prevent a break-in, catch intruders and minimize damage or loss.
Due to the large number of vacation rentals in Avalon, all residents are encouraged to help watch each other’s property and immediately report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Department.
