December 28

  • Deputies responded to a disturbance call on the 100 block of Sumner Avenue. The caller stated a man and woman were arguing and the man had left the location. The deputies arrived and contacted the woman who obviously had enjoyed too many adult beverages. The woman was now standing with a different man who said he was her friend and would escort her back to their hotel and watch after her. He chose their hotel instead of the Gray Bar Hotel.

December 29

  • Deputies responded to a disturbance on Country Club Drive. The caller stated a man and woman were in the pool area arguing with each other. The deputies contacted the feuding couple and reminded them it was 1:30 in the morning and other guests were trying to sleep. The couple separated for the night because they could just not get along.

December 30

  • Deputies responded to a stolen bike report call. The victim said her bicycle was parked near Coyote Joe’s and someone stole it. The deputies wrote a crime report and are actively looking for the stolen property. PLEASE LOCK AND SECURE ALL OF YOUR PROPERTY SO A THIEF DOESN’T TRY TO MAKE IT THEIRS.

December 31

  • Deputies responded to a disturbance call on the 100 block of Sumner Avenue. The caller stated a group of 15 adults just exited the club and are being very loud and possibly drunk. The deputies contacted the raucous crowd and reminded them it was 2am and time to call it a night. They also told them it was a crime to be drunk in public and it would be a great idea to head back to their hotels.
  • Deputies responded to the 100 block of Maiden Lane for a suspicious activity call. The caller stated the rear light is on inside his neighbor’s home and they have not been there in 2 weeks. The deputies arrived at the location and checked the home. There was no evidence of entry or any type of crime. Maybe this will be a new stop on the Catalina Ghost Tour.

January 1

  • Deputies responded to a fight call on the 100 block of Sumner Avenue. The caller stated 2 men were fighting in the alley. The deputies arrived and contacted both parties. The men told the deputies they were not fighting and just arguing with each other. It appeared they were sharing a little extra fellowship with each other and welcoming in the new year.
