Deer calls
We received three calls for service within the past week or so involving deer.
All three calls were referred to Avalon City Code Enforcement for handling. One involved a baby deer hit by a golf cart on Wrigley Road.
According to the informant, the deer walked away from the scene.
The second call involved a baby deer that was found dead on the side of the road near Fairview Terrace.
The third involved a full grown deer that was found dead near Sol Vista.
Allegedly, there was a second deer found later in the day or the next day also near Sol Vista.
None of the incidents involved any type of suspected foul play.
We do not know what may have caused the deers’ deaths.
Golf carts
One golf cart was reported stolen from Pebbly Beach Road.
It was determined to have been taken accidentally by a rental cart customer.
