The Rotary Club of Avalon and the City of Avalon are calling for volunteers to join in another Community Clean-up day.

Participants are invited to gather at 9 a.m. in Avalon Kid’s Park (across from City Hall) wearing closed toed shoes.

Groups will then disperse to locations in town to gather trash and debris. Bags, tools and gloves will be provided or participants may bring their own.

The club welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to join in this and other ongoing efforts to Care for Catalina and its eco-system.

Removal of trash and other debris beautifies our community, protects our wildlife and ocean from pollution while bettering the visitor and resident experience.

Avalon Rotary actively contributes to the betterment of our Island community by donating to local community charities. Made up of a vibrant group of community leaders and business people united in their belief that working together, they can make the world a better place.

The club meets on twice per month on Wednesdays, alternating at noon or 6 p.m., at the Catalina Canyon Resort. Visiting Rotarians are always welcome.
