Obituary: Patricia ‘Miss Pat’ Morrow 1939-2013

Pat Morrow passed away early Friday morning, May10, at Torrance Memorial Hospital due to a recent stroke. Ralph Morrow was by her side. Arrangements are pending.

Those who knew her well will agree she was a force of nature. Her boundless energy and enthusiasm was put into many causes and groups she supported over the years. Her kind spirit, zest for life, and sense of humor touched all she met. Her countless deeds of mischief were the stuff of legend. To say she will be missed is an understatement.

To honor her in the way she would want … forget the flowers.Buy a drink for a stranger,  take a chance on making a lifelong friend; pick up a Karaoke microphone and dedicate a Patsy Cline song to someone; find a group, or cause and work tirelessly to help support them; take a walk around Avalon, appreciate the beauty around you, and pick up a little trash along the way; try to leave everyone you meet with a smile.

And, if you ever get the chance to sing the “Tennessee  Waltz,”  purposely sing it loud, off key and out of time.  She’d love it.

The family would like to thank all who reached out and made this tough time a little easier.
