Catalina Island Medical Clinic, Dr. Laura Ulibarri, gave free line dancing lessons on Monday night, June 11th. Fifteen locals joined in the fun and learned several different line dances from Ulibarri. Her laptop had several different instructors that helped participants learn the dances. With the participants at different levels of experience with line dancing, much laughter filled the room.

Zella LeSieur helped coordinated the event. “We are very pleased with the turn out. Dr. Ulibarri had tried to do this before and only had one or two people show up. She wants to continue holding this once a month on Mondays. We know more people will come since everyone had such a good time.” Due to her hospital schedule, Ulibarri will have to notify LeSieur each month regarding which Monday she can teach.
The event is being held at Singing Waters Community Center on Catalina Avenue. Watch for notices in the newspaper and the Arcade bulletin board.
