CIMC offers more flu clinics Jan. 28 and Feb. 4

Despite the recent warm weather, Southern California is in the grips of a massive winter flu season.

With plenty of influenza vaccine available Catalina Island Medical Center will offer two new flu shot clinics in the coming weeks. The dates are Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 8-10 and 11-1 and Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 2 to 5 pm. No appointments are necessary. The cost is $25.

Get your flu shot at the Medical Group Office at 100 Falls Canyon Road. It will take a few minutes but getting the flu vaccine is the single best way to prevent the flu.

If you have never had a flu shot please allow an additional 15-20 minutes after receiving the vaccine to be monitored. Your flu shot cost may be covered under Medicare or the Vaccines for Children Program. Everyone 6 months of age and older is advised to get vaccinated.
