The Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau is making final preparations for the the Chamber’s upcoming “Restaurant Week,” slated to occur June 1-7 throughout the island. The event essentially starts the official visitor season for Catalina.
“We’re busy making final preparations and signing up participants,” said Amelia Lincoln, the Chamber’s director of events and digital marketing. The event is designed to promote dining value on the island, she said, as restaurants offer specials and value pricing in an effort to entice new customers and for old customers to try new dishes.
Lincoln said the Chamber doesn’t yet have a full list of participating restaurants but will they have created a special web address, www.avalonrestaurantweek.com, where interested patrons can go to discover specials and other details.
