This February’s weather was so nice that we had 466 boats moored this year compared to

351 boats in February 2025.

The 2026 Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup was held on Feb. 21 this year and removed

1,200 pounds of trash from the harbor.

On February 10, Harbor Patrol assisted a kayaker back to his boat anchored off Pebbly Beach when he was found during a Small Craft Advisory trying to swim his kayak back to his boat of Pebbly Beach. A courtesy ride was provided. That same evening, the Harbor Department observed a powerboat drifting about a mile off of Avalon Harbor. Baywatch Avalon responded and towed the vessel to Avalon Harbor.

On Feb. 19, Harbor Patrol rescued a male from the water who had fallen off his kayak. The soggy individual was returned to his vessel.
