“Southern California Edison has notified the City that it is no longer under any stage of water rationing,” according to the staff report by Assistant City Manager Michael Parmer.
“However, SCE, in an effort to accurately gauge the safe annual yield, has delayed issuing any new fresh water allocations to those projects on their waiting list until further testing of wells and quantity of production could be ascertained,” according to Parmer’s report.
The 2021 policy wil require that Edison has confirmed fresh water is available for “almost all” developments, according to Parmer’s report.
