On Saturday, Sept. 19, the Catalina Island Swim Club will have it fourth benefit swim for pancreatic cancer followed by a socially distanced pot-luck Breakfast. Meet and sign up at 7 a.m. at Casino Point and enter the water at 7:30 for the 2.2 mile round trip swim to Frog Rock. Shorter swims and even a “jump in and get wet” swims are also planned.
These are difficult times for many to make a donation and, as always, any donation is welcome by making a check out to PANCAN and giving it to Charlie or Claudia Canby, Santa Domingus or any swimmer you know. Donations can also be make on line at pancan.org in honor of Catalina Island Swim Club. A suggested donation for swimmers is $20-$40.
