The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of March 11 to March 17.

March 11

March 11
• At 11:10 p.m., Zarei Mahafarid, 30, a resident of Costa Mesa, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
March 12
• An Avalon resident reported her son’s bicycle was stolen from the school.
• Deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Marilla Avenue and another search warrant in the 100 block of Vieudelou Avenue. As a result of the investigation, George Gutierrez, 37, an Avalon resident, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
March 13
• Vandals spraypainted graffiti at the skatepark and miscellaneous sports equipment had been removed from a storage shed at the location. No property was reported as stolen.
• At 9:45 a.m., Jose Cervantes, 30, an Avalon resident, was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance and placed under arrest.
March 14
• At 3:30 a.m., Wesley Reese, 28, a resident of San Diego, was arrested on suspicion of an alleged assault.
• At 6:20 p.m., Christine Cho, 27, a resident of Westminster, was cited and released for battery. At 8:16 p.m., Linda Tryon, 37, a resident of Georgia, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
March 15
• At 10:15 p.m., Kevin Spring, 41, a resident of Carlsbad, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
March 17
• At 2 a.m., Lorenzo Cisneros, 27, was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer.
• At 2:10 a.m., Shane McKibbin, 27, an Avalon resident, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
• Numerous construction tools and copper electrical materials were reportedly stolen from the Atwater Arcade.
• At 11:30 p.m., Elaine Ingerson, 55, a resident of Vermont, was arrested on suspicion of an alleged assault and being drunk in public. At the same time, David Darrah, 51, also from Vermont, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
