August 6

August 6
• Deputies served a search warrant on Whittley Avenue pursuant to an arrest made on August 4, 2014.
• An Avalon resident, living on Clarissa Avenue, reported being the victim of a sexual assault on July 30, 2014 in her home at 2 a.m.
August 7
• An Avalon resident, living on Sumner Avenue, reported a door knob to her home was vandalized.
• At 4:45 p.m., Shantelle Stancin, F/23, a resident of San Pedro, was arrested at the Cabrillo Mole for drunk in public.
August 8
At 11 p.m., Carol McCarthy, F/53, a resident of Mesa, AZ, was arrested on Sumner Avenue for drunk in public.
• An Avalon resident reported being the victim of terrorist threats on July 19 and 20 on Metropole Avenue.
August 9
• At 6:45 p.m., Olivia Lopez, F/32, a resident of Monrovia, was arrested at Casino Point for drunk in public.
• At 7:15 p.m., Anthony Auricchio, M/33, a resident of Monrovia, was arrested on Crescent Avenue for battery.
• At 11:45 p.m., Michael Stubblefield, M/25, a resident of Pensacola FL, was arrested on Sumner Avenue for drunk in public.
August 10
• At 12:30 a.m., Brenda Villagomez, F/35, a resident of Avalon, was arrested on Sumner Avenue for driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
• At 6:55 p.m., Frank Cortez, M/22, a resident of Fontana, was arrested on Clarissa Avenue for riding a bicycle under the influence of alcohol.
August 11
• No significant incidents.
August 12
• At 12:05 a.m., Ahkem Hooikaika, M/54, a resident of Avalon, was arrested for stealing gasoline from a tank at the City Yard on Falls Canyon Road.
• At 5:30 p.m., Castro Ramirez, M/18, a resident of Avalon, was arrested for throwing a rock at a person at Descanso Beach. The victim was struck by the rock, but was not seriously injured.
• At 8:40 p.m., a visitor to the island was cited for possession of Marijuana on Sumner Avenue.
Traffic safety
Three golf cart accidents involving visitors to the Island were reported this week. All drivers are encouraged to wear seatbelts, not use their cell phones and to follow the rules of the road (the same rules that apply on the mainland).

No golf carts were reported stolen this week.
