Love Catalina Island Tourism Authority reported this week that 75.788 individuals arrived in Feburary 2026.
That’s a 37.8% increase from February 2025, according to Love Catalina.
“February’s total arrival count was above the three, five and ten-year averages by 32.1%, 37.0% and 51.4% respectively,” according to Love Catalina’s website.
“Cross Channel Counts above include 865 arrivals at Two Harbors this year and 830 last year,” the website said.
“February 2026 had the highest number of total visitor arrivals for the month @ 75,788,” the website said.
“February 2021 had the lowest number of total visitor arrivals @ 22,225,” the website said.
“Passengers arriving by sea in February totaled 67,228 down by 3.8% for the month compared to last year,” according to Love Catalina.
“Cross Channel Passenger counts were up by 99.1%, an increase of 26,258 people. Cross Channel Counts shown above include arrivals at Two Harbors,” according to Love Catalina.
“2026 had the highest volume of Cross Channel passengers for the month @ 52,755 passengers,” according to Love Catalina.
“1998 had the lowest volume for the month @ 15,517 passengers,” according to Love Catalina.
“February Cross Channel Passenger counts were above the three, five and ten-year averages by 52.9%, 59.1% and 76.1% respectively,” according to Love Catalina.
“Cross Channel Passengers made up 69.61% of total monthly arrivals,” according to Love Catalina.
“Cruise passenger counts totaled 18,857 down from 25,401 last year by 25.8%,” the website said.
“2023 had the highest Cruise Passenger volume for the month @ 27,166,” the website said.
“2021 & 2022 had the lowest Cruise Passenger volume for the month @ 0,” the website said.
“February Cruise Passenger counts were below the three-year average by 4.1% but above the five and ten-year averages by 0.7%, and 10.9% respectively,” the website said.
“Cruise Passengers made up 24.88% of total monthly arrivals,” the website said.
“The number of Cruise Ships calling on Avalon in February was 5,” according to Love Catalina.
“2023 had the highest number of ships calling @ 10,” according to Love Catalina.
“2021 and 2022 had 0 ships calling,” according to Love Catalina.
“February typically has 8 ships call,” according to Love Catalina.
“Private Boater Passenger counts totaled 1,864, up 32.8% from last year at 1,404,” according to Love Catalina.
“2016 had the highest passenger volume for the month @ 2,236,” according to Love Catalina.
“2017 had the lowest passenger volume month @ 628,” according to Love Catalina.
“February Private Boater Passenger counts were above the three, five and ten-year averages by 33.3%, 45.4% and 45.4% respectively,” the website said.
“Private Boaters made up 2.46% of total arrivals,” the website said.
“February 2026’s number of Vessels Anchored was 26, down 69.7% from 2025 @ 81,” the website said.
“2019 had the highest number of Vessels Anchored for the month @ 104,” the website said.
“2013 had the lowest number of Vessels Anchored @ 3,” according to Love Catalina.
“February below the three, five and ten-year averages by 56.9%, 53.7% and 52.6% respectively,” according to Love Catalina.
“February’s number of Vessels on Moorings was 327, no change from 2024 @ 327,” according to Love Catalina.
“2017 had the highest number of Vessels on Moorings @ 554,” according to Love Catalina.
“2013 had the lowest number of Vessels on Moorings @ 11,” according to Love Catalina.
“February was above the three, five and ten-year averages by 33.32%, 45.5% and 45.4% respectively,” according to Love Catalina.
“Combined in-bound air passenger counts for February totaled 2,334 up by 37.7% from 1,695 in 2025,” according to Love Catalina.
“Private Aircraft Passengers (Airport in the Sky) totaled 1,602, up 30.9% vs. last year’s total of 1,224,” the website said.
“2016 had the highest volume for the month @ 2,133,” the website said.
“2019 had the lowest volume for the month @ 0,” the website said.
“February’s Private Aircraft Passenger count was above the three, five and ten-year averages by 37.0%, 17.3% and 41.9% respectively,” the website said.
“Private Aircraft Passengers made up 2.11% of total monthly arrivals,” the website said.
“Helicopter Passenger counts totaled 710, up year-over-year by 53.7% from 462 in 2025,” according to Love Catalina.
“2018 had the highest volume for the month @ 1,339,” according to Love Catalina.
“2020 had the lowest volume for the month @ 0,” according to Love Catalina.
“Helicopter Passenger counts were above the three-year average by 10.3% but below the five and ten-year averages by 7.7%,” according to Love Catalina.
“Helicopter Passengers made up .94 of total monthly arrivals,” according to Love Catalina.
