Impressed by response to GRACE report
I was very impressed by the ACC response to the GRACE report. The essay was thoughtful and insightful. Most of us do not know or acknowledge that child abuse is a lifelong sentence for the victims.
This essay does this and realizes that good Christians do everything they are able to prevent these actions and support victims.
It is heartbreaking to see a whole community of good people also victimized because of awful actions by a few. To renew this church does not remove the hurt and despair of the innocent, but does give the give the good Christians who are determined to do the right thing a chance.
We need more good people in the world. It seems things have gotten so dark and distrustful now that we must make an effort to acknowledge and support those who are striving to do better. I hope to see a return of a vibrant and joyful ACC, even though I am not a member and have never gone to a service there.
