Sheriff’s Log: March 28 to April 3

Editor’s note: The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of March 28 to April 3, 2018.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Many people who are arrested do not get prosecuted in the first place and many who are prosecuted do not get convicted.

March 29

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Banning Drive regarding a theft report. A victim reported she left her luggage outside and when she returned the luggage was missing. It is unknown if someone stole it, or if they took it for safe keeping. The investigation is ongoing.

March 30

Deputies responded to a traffic collision at Hamilton Cove. The passenger of a golf cart fell out of a golf cart and was injured. The passenger was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

March 31

Deputies and Baywatch Isthmus responded to Two Harbors regarding a person not breathing. Despite all of their efforts to revive the 80 year old man from Laguna Beach, he passed away.

April 1

Deputies responded to the Cabrillo Mole regarding two missing children (6 and 8 years old). Deputies were able to locate both children safely and return them to their parents.

April 2

Deputies responded to 401 Crescent Avenue regarding a found purse. Deputies were able to locate the owner of the purse and return it.
