The “Season of Giving” will continue into the new year with Catalina Island Medical Center’s “Share and Care” Stuffed Animal Toy Drive now through Jan. 31.  Children undergoing treatment in the emergency department will be given a new plush toy donated by CIMC staff members and Avalon residents. “The hospital historically has done this and it’s a great thing for kids to receive a teddy bear or stuffed animal at the time when they need some comfort or encouragement.  It’s also nice for our staff to be able to give little ones a special gift,” shared CEO Bryan Ballard.

With so many after Christmas clearance sales, now is a great time to purchase an additional gift that will delight a child who is ill or injured and needing medical treatment at the CIMC Emergency department. Bring an unwrapped plush toy (teddy bear or stuffed animal) to the hospital to donate and put a smile on the face of a child.

Donations will be accepted at the Medical Group Office or Hospital Reception areas. CIMC’S  “Share and Care” Stuffed Animal Toy Drive is another way to help make a difference in our community.

Let’s flood the hospital with cute and cuddly critters to share with little ones in need.
