Kristina’s grandparents, William and Frances (Vincon) Greig played a big part in Catalina Island’s history and worked for the Wrigley’s at the Isthmus where they helped feed Wrigley’s guests and visitors at the Isthmus.

They first moved to the Island, where William began working at the Rock Quarry, around 1916. Later they owned and operated a restaurant in Avalon. Kristina’s father, James Greig, his brother Bill and two sisters, Elizabeth (Lawton) and Helen (Wilson) were all born on Catalina. Kristina’s mother, Bette Ireland; her stepmother Mary Greig; and her brother James Greig and sister-in-law, Karen Greig all live in Orange County.
