Catalina Island Medical Center wants to better understand the experiences that patients have in the emergency department, physician’s office, laboratory, radiology and physical therapy. Jason Paret, CEO, recently announced the hospital’s new relationship with Press Ganey an industry leader in measuring and evaluating hospital performance.

“We need to know what we do well and what needs to change,” he said.    CIMC will begin to provide a brief questionnaire to patients who received medical services after June 1, 2016.  An online link or a written survey in the mail will give residents and visitors the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about what CIMC is doing right and what needs improvement.  Patrick T. Ryan, CEO for Press Ganey stated, “We are proud to partner with Catalina Island Medical Center as they focus on compassionate connected care. “Eleven-thousand  health care organizations, including more than 50 percent of hospitals, work with Press Ganey to examine quality of care, efficiency of services, communication, safety and patient satisfaction.

This is a call to action and CIMC wants to hear from you.  All responses are strictly confidential.  If you receive a patient survey please reply promptly.  It only takes a few minutes and the insights and comments you share will pinpoint areas that may need effort, resources and positive change.  We also want to recognize staff members who have given excellent service and appreciate those comments as well..

Catalina Island Medical Center’s mission is to provide the highest quality health care to each individual and improve the overall health of the community.  Patients: tell us what you think.  It’s a team effort to help make island health care better for future patients and their families.
