Falconry Experience hoots about baby owl

The Catalina Falconry Experience recently announced the acquisition of the newest member of the team: a 4-week-old baby female Eurasian eagle owl. This little darling already weights as much as a full-grown house cat.

As an adult, she will have a wingspan of 6-and-a-half feet and will be part of the Catalina Falconry educational program.

She will help the island falconers to raise awareness about the protection of birds of prey.

But she needs a name. Catalina Falconry will give a free personnal falconry class to the person (and his family or friends) who comes up with the name selected for the baby bird. A Photo-Hoot by a professional photographer will also be included. To participate, visit the Catalina Falconry Experience facebook page.
