Catalina Election 2016

Michael Ponce

I am employed by Catalina Island Vacation Rentals as a Reservation Specialist.  I am 60 years old and I have resided in Avalon for 20 years.

We need to elect a City Council that sets goals and policies that will benefit the entire community’s well-being.

We need a City Council that can function in a unified, unbiased manner and to find effective solutions to any issue at hand.

We need to be able to involve all the stakeholders of our community in planning for the future.

We need a City Council that can function in a unified, unbiased manner and to find effective solutions to any issue at hand.

We need to be able to involve all the stakeholders of our community in planning for the future.

We still have many issues facing us such as our freshwater supply, an aging infrastructure, affordable housing and continued work on our Bay water quality.

I do not claim to have the magic pill that will fix these issue but I do have the ability to listen and educate myself to both sides of any issue and to make decisions accordingly.

I believe my history as a former City Council Member, Planning Commissioner, and Chairman of the Hospital Board, CHOICES Board Member and former President of the Catalina Art Association shows my dedication and compassion to have Avalon become a community in which we all take pride and I ask for your vote on April 12th.
